"I wanted to ask leaders across all sectors what they thought
the lessons were from 2009, if we were facing a crisis of
leadership and what leaders should take forward in 2010 as they
face new challenges," said Julia Middleton. "There were recurring
themes like trust and transparency, leading in crisis and the need
for bravery. There were also new and interesting concepts such as
personalising leadership.
"Overall, I think the message is that leadership is a key issue
for all organisations going forward as they will need to be braver,
to work together more effectively, and to communicate with
transparency, honesty and clarity," said Julia Middleton.
The leaders interviewed were guest speakers at Common Purpose's Leaders'
Questions event, held in London in January 2010.
