What is Power Dynamic?
Power Dynamic is a challenging and informative one-day event specially designed to equip leaders with a better understanding of how power works nationally or internationally.
Many professionals need to to navigate confidently the power dynamic that links politics, business and media. Power Dynamic provides a fascinating exploration of these power inter-relationships along with an opportunity to consider the "toolkit" necessary for influencing at national or international levels.
What happens on the programme?
The day will afford participants the opportunity to build on their existing knowledge in the context of a new national or international landscape. The impressive line-up of previous speakers includes:

- Charles Tannock, MEP for London
- David Yelland, former Editor, The Sun
- The Rt Hon Michael Portillo, former Secretary of State for Education and for Defence

There will also be a unique set of visits to key political, financial and media institutions across London, Brussels and Edinburgh. Past visits have included:

- The European Commission
- Conservative Party HQ
The event will include a master class with experts — lobbyists, campaigners, journalists — on issues faced by their own organisations in relation to power and influence.

Ability to pay is not one of the selection criteria and each programme maintains a bursary fund to cover the costs of those who are genuinely unable to meet the full fee. However, every participant is asked to make a contribution.

Application forms are submitted to the local Advisory Group. The Advisory Group comprises individuals with experience across all sectors in the programme's geographical area. All are members in their own right, not representatives of their organisations or communities. Advisory Groups make decisions on whether an applicant demonstrates that they fulfil the application criteria.
