Adirupa Sengupta is Chief Executive of Common Purpose UK. She has been working for Common Purpose for 10 years, starting in London then moving to the East Midlands as Regional Director. She then worked on international development, launching and growing Common Purpose in India and Ghana and most recently Hong Kong, and supporting the start-up in Turkey.

For the last two years she has coupled her work in the Asia-Pacific with a Senior Management role leading the London team. As part of this she was responsible for launching the About Time campaign, and the Dishaa Venture between the UK and India.

Prior to Common Purpose, she worked as a Consultant with the Morgan Chase Group in the City of London and a Consultant to the Indian Council for Research in International Economic Relations in New Delhi.

Adirupa was born in India. She read for an M.Phil in International Relations at St. John's College, University of Cambridge. She is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School's High Potential Leadership Programme. She has served on the boards of Sport England East Midlands and the Leicester Theatre Trust as well as the social enterprises Newlife Regeneration Ltd and Highpoint Events Ltd. She now lives in St. Albans, Hertfordshire with her husband with whom she shares a passion for cooking, travel and following the fortunes of Liverpool Football Club.
