The Act requires that all charities must demonstrate that their aims are for the public benefit. See an illustration of our educational and public benefit impact.
In 2010/2011, more than 72% of participants received either full or part bursary support to enable them to participate in the Common Purpose leadership development courses. These courses help participants to increase their knowledge of how society works and their own leadership role within it.
Common Purpose is an international, not-for-profit organisation that has been running leadership courses which mix people from the private, public and not-for-profit sectors since 1989.
